Sivo wordt in het jaar 2008 voor de 24e keer georganiseerd. (30 juli tot en met 3 augustus 2008).

Sivo is een schitterend internationaal folklorespektakel met zang, dans, kleurrijke klederdrachten en vele authentieke muziekinstrumenten.

Sivo is een openlucht festival met voldoende accomodatie voor slecht weer situaties. Sivo is 5 dagen genieten van vele onbekende culturen en werken aan een indrukwekkend verbroederingsfeest.

Sivo is met jaarlijks 18 tot 20 buitenlandse groepen uitgegroeid tot het grootste folklorefestival van Nederland en eender grootste van Europa, maar heeft daarbij haar unieke sfeer weten te behouden.

Sivo dankt haar succes aan de vele vrijwilligers, die gezamenlijk het festival tot een jaarlijks cultureel hoogtepunt brengen.

Sivo is lid van de Internationale Organisatie voor Volkskunst, gevestigd te Wenen en het CIOFF.
