The seminar this year will be held in the town – resort of Varshets, 85 km away from the capital of Bulgaria - Sofia.
Balkanfolk workshop, for its eleventh year, welcomes participants from all continents to get closer to the culture, traditions and customs of the Balkan countries in the gorgeous atmosphere of the Bulgaria.

For the first time the participants will be accommodated in “Promishleno stroitelstvo” hotel in Varshets and will be offered some excursions, such as the town of Vratsa, the Ledenika Cave, the Klissura Monastery, the town of Belogradchik and the Magurata Cave.
Folk Dance, Music and Singing Classes:
You may choose up to 5 classes daily for 10 educational days. You also have the possibility to take part in Balkanfolk without attending the lessons. You will spend unforgettable vacation‘s days in the unique atmosphere of the town of Varshets and wonderful folk evenings with Balkanfolk’s orchestra and singers.
Folk dances lessons are in groups for advanced and for beginners. The duration of dance classes is 90 minutes. The teachers - Emil Genov - Bulgarian folk dances, Vladimir Mutavdjich - Serbian folk dances will teach you dances from all ethnographic regions of Bulgaria, Greece and Serbia. Folk dances lessons are accompanied by live music.
Musical instruments courses are individual and last 60 minutes. Bulgarian folk singing and Bulgarian language courses are in groups or individual and last 60 minutes.
Upon arrival each participant will receive their private “Individual programme” with the desired courses.
