Thirty Years Folk Dance Ensemble "Sofia-6". The first thirty years in human life are years of mature, continuous development and orientation in life. For a folk dance ensemble, however, these thirty years mean a diverse repertoire, enriched by both artistic experience, and the beauty and depth of Bulgarian folklore magic. For Folk Dance Ensemble "Sofia-6" they are marked in first place by the enthusiasm that still keeps dancers together. The ensemble was founded on 1 March, 1976 by Mr. Nestor Nestorov. Ever since its founding it has fascinated people from all over the world with the wondrous and distinctive Bulgarian art, the spellbinding charm of its magic of sound and dance. Due to its rich repertoire and high professionalism the ensemble is laureate of prestigious prizes almost every year.
The wholehearted performance of the dancers makes audiences throughout the world erupt with applause, makes hearts beat faster and captivates the souls. The musical accompaniment is realized by a folk orchestra with director Tzvetelina Nikolova. Since 1999 choreographer of the ensemble is Nikolay Nestorov.
