Folk dance ensemble ”Zvezditza” is established in 1994. We are an young but very ambitious formation. The name ”Zvezditza” (zvezditsa) means a little star in Bulgarian.

For the years of its work “Zvezditza” has taken part in a lot of festivals abroad:

The repertoire of “Zvezditza” is rich and interesting – above 50 dances from all the ethnographic regions in Bulgaria. The choreography of the dances is by prominent Bulgarian choreographers- Dimitar Doychinov, Margarita Dikova, Kiril Dzhenev, Ivan Todorov,Boris Valkov,Veneta Tsenova, Ana Dimitrova, Iliyana Bozhanova, Veselin Ivanov.

The dance programs of “Zvezditza” are true show – a bouquet of children charm, youth flame and adult maturity, plenty of live music, songs, different rhythms and interesting rites.

Above 130 children, teenagers and adults (from 4 to 55 years old) are learning Bulgarian folk dances in the groups of the ensemble every year.

The founders of “Zvezditza”, its directors and choreographers are Mr. Veselin Ivanov and Mrs. Antoniya Ivanova.
