International Children’s Folk Dance Festival “Friendship without borders”

DESCRIPTION:    
The festival has won recognition as one of the most important cultural events in Sliven Municipality and the whole region.

The festival does not have a competitive component – the participants are children from 8 to 14 years old who present their national dances and traditions. The programme of the festival includes concerts in Sliven and in regional settlements, a "dance school", a round table with "The folklore and the child" main topic, visiting schools and families, participation in the events in honour of Bulgarian Enlightenment and Culture celebrations. In 2007 the festival will be organized for its 11th time. From now on the festival is a member of CID.
